Talk about taking my life with me. I LOVE these things. Yahoo! is onto something here! Not only do the Purple Pedals randomly take photos while you're riding, but they upload them to flickr and map them so you know exactly where the pictures were taken. I WANT ONE of my own!!! Couldn't resist sharing this video...I took 3 or 4 with my flip. I have to admit I almost wiped out while trying to gracefully turn off the flip at the end of the video. At least you get to see a glimpse of the beauty of Camden, ME...
I had to add 2 more videos I took on my Purple Pedal bike ride. I recorded these for my friend Annelise who didn't make it to Camden when she visited us from Seattle in July.
I really do want to know. There are too many choices out there and researching them all is so time consuming! On the video I mentioned a couple that I use Preclick (best redeye removal I've seen) and Flickr (super easy to share streams of pictures or send links to pics)...also Picasa and Kodak Gallery (my cousin sends me pics of her family this way, but viewers have to sign up to see).
So, please...give me your take on what else is out there!
Here's my SmileboxZoomAlbum I made of my son and daughter's soccer experience so far. I added a smilebox slide show I made so you can see how well these 2 programs work together. Please watch the video (but please, no comments about the lack of shower, that's what hats are for, lol) and don't forget to tell me your ZoomAlbum story...
I was planning to post a video today but due to lack of sleep, ketchup explosion and the chaotic noise of kids in my house right now, I decided that writing and adding pictures would suffice.
I want to share some emotion focused tidbits from my experiences at the Blogworld Expo last week. I honestly can say that I've never been more inspired, motivated and moved by this group of kind, open, interesting and informative people. Although I came back sleep deprived with ideas exploding out of my head like fireworks have kept me from catching up on the much needed sleep while I explore all of the blogs and look up all of the new tools and ideas I learned while I was there.
While I was catching up on all of my new friends updates on twitter I came across some some incredible photography from my new friend Jeff Turner (how he can make a dead bug look beautiful is truly a gift). Below the photo was a quote that By Gloria Naylor...“I don’t believe that life is supposed to make you feel good, or make
you feel miserable either. Life is just supposed to make you feel." I love the way that these wonderful people connect, celebrate and truly FEEL life.
Here are some of my pics from the weekend...
I took pages and pages of notes in the awesome seminars. I even won Debbie Micek's book (Secrets of Online Persuasion) in Coach Deb's seminar How to Seduce Your Tribe & Create Raving Fans It would be impossible for me to mention all of the incredibly authentic and informative people here so I'll just tell you that there are some great huggers (and brilliant shining stars) in this group worth noting (since I am focusing on how feeling focused this conference was for me)...Chris Brogan, Howard Greenstein (not to mention the plug for me and ZoomAlbumhere), Toby Bloomberg, James Whatley, Robert Scoble, Jay Berkowitz, Ricardo Bueno, Walt Ribiero, Jeremy Tanner, Matt Singley and Spike Jones (okay, so I didn't hug him, but he exuded kindness and I bet is a good hugger). I have a stack of really cool business card sitting on my desk and every single one of them are worth mention are "rockstars" in my book. I'll put a link somewhere here so they all get a mention. Everyone there truly takes their lives with them...and feels life deeply...
I'm taking the leap! This is the beginning of my new video journal...I'm so excited and energized about this and I hope to get lots of feedback. Remember that I am new at this and it's a bit of a learning curve. Like I shared in the video, I'll be talking about ZoomAlbum photobooks, Smilebox slideshows and lots of ideas that make it easier to take your life with you and share it with friends and family!
Coming soon...thoughts and ideas from Blog World Expo 2008...
